Welcome to Helensburgh RSCDS

We are a Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, mainly based in the town of Helensburgh in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

Helensburgh is a pretty little town about 25 miles west of Glasgow on the north bank of the Clyde and is surrounded by stunning scenery including Loch Lomond which is only around 10 minutes drive away.

We run classes which cater for all levels and ages of dancers, and throughout the year we run a number of dances including the Branch Weekend in April.

John Maccallum Branch Award

Branch Chair Anne Thorn recently managed to catch up with John Maccallum at the Thursday Class to present him with his well-deserved Branch Award. John has been a loyal member of the Branch for many years and has served as chairman twice. Among his many talents he has devised dances, provided us with a wonderful photographic record of our functions over the years, created booklets and commemorative table decorations for our Anniversaries, and designed the branch badge. Congratulations on your award John!
